Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cancel and get a refund if I am unable to attend?

A: Yes, you can cancel at any time up to 12.00 noon on the day of the training and get a full refund. All requests for cancellation should be made via our Green Button support service. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If my computer cannot access the event, can I get a refund?

A: This is unlikley as we will be using standard browser based webinar software, which works well. However if you are unable to view the workshop, we will give a full refund, provided you let us know before 12.00 noon on the day of the event.

Will I be able to watch a recording of the event if I cannot attend?

A: Yes. We will be recording the workshop and the recordings will be loaded up to the delegates page after the event. The recordings will be available for all delegates for a period of three months after the event.

Do I have to pay online? Can I pay on invoice?

A: You can but note that discounts (eg for Landlord Law members and any coupons) will not be available and we charge a £15 admin fee.

Will I get a receipted invoice?

A: If you pay online the system will automatically send out a receipted invoice, or you can download it from the site.

I am an NRLA member - but it is not accepting my NRLA login details

A: Your NRLA login details will not work here as this is a different website. If you have bought a course here before you will be registered here but with a different login from your NRLA login. Your username will be the same email you used for your purchase. Click here for guidance on setting a new password.

I want to use two coupons but the system won't let me

A: You can only use one coupon per purchase - so if you have two you will need to decide which one to use. However Landlord Law members can use a coupon and still get their automatic discount.

I am a Landlord Law member paying online, and am having difficulty offsetting my points

A: Landlord Law points cannot be used with coupons. You will need to decide whether it is most cost effective to use your points or the coupon.

Can I pay by cash or cheque?

A: No, payments must be made online via our system (where you can pay by card or pay pal) or by BACS if paying on invoice.

I am a Landlord Law member, is this training included in my membership?

Will I be able to ask questions?

A: Yes. You will be able to ask questions during the training via the on screen 'chat' box.

I am based in Wales, is this training suitable for me?

A: No, sorry. Some of the things discussed will be relevant in Wales, but we will not be covering the new Welsh legislation. We will be running a separate workshop for Welsh landlords later.

I am based in Scotland, N Ireland or outside the UK, is this training suitable for me?

A: No, unless you own rented property in England. This training is only suitable for landlords or others managing rented property in England UK.

Will there be CPD?

A: Yes, provided our system shows you have attended all the online sessions. If you qualify, you will be emailed a CPD certificate after the event. This event carries four hours CPD.

I am disabled, will I be able to attend?

A: Unfortunatly the Kimberley Suite, where the in person event will take place, is on the first floor and there is no lift. If you have mobility issues we suggest you book to attend online.

Will I be included in filming if I attend in person?

A: The cameras will be focused on the speaker rather than the audience, however the audience may appear in some of the shots. If you do not wish to be included in this you should tell our cameraman at the start of the day and ask to be seated out of shot.

How do I contact you via the Green Button Messenger service?

A: You can see the green button at the bottom right of your screen. Just click it and type your message in the box. Then click the down arrow below the box to close. Or click here for a short guide (you may need to wait for the popup messages to load). Tip - if you are using AdBlocker this may sometimes block the green button if you are logged in.
